Drawing Management Database Program and
Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Standards

In an effort to standardize final bid set and as-built drawing submittals, the Virginia Port Authority has developed a Drawing Management Database Program (DMDP) and CADD Drafting Standards. Both tools will ensure uniform submittals from all consultants and provide the VPA with a means for archiving and retrieving these final sets.

The DMDP includes a user manual, a blank copy of the database, and facility code map keys to assist consulting firms with the new VPA drawing database. Please click on the link below to download a .zip file containing these materials.

The CADD Drafting Standards include a user manual, pen tables, seed files, logos, borders, etc. to assist consulting firms with adhering to the VPA's CADD requirements. Please click on the link below to download a .zip file containing these materials.

The VPA requires that all consultants submit bid sets, as-builts, soil boring and other final drawings in hardcopy format as well as in digital format as outlined in the database entry instructions.
