Project Description

Plum Point Park is a joint effort by the VPA and the City of Norfolk.  It is a construction project that the VPA will fund to meet mitigation requirements for terminal renovations at NIT.  The City will maintain it as a public park into perpetuity. The project involves clean-up of site debris, excavation and installation of Class II and Class III riprap for 1600 feet of shoreline, removal of approximately 500 deteriorated piles, planting of 1-acre of wetlands, paving of a bike trail, and incidental landscaping for a 5-acre public park.

Estimated Construction Cost: $1,600,000
