Project Description
The project consists of the construction of an overhead pre-engineered police canopy that will cover the inbound and outbound truck lanes at PMT, as well as an approximately 40 ft by 74 ft canopy which will cover a new 6 ft by 20 ft police security booth as well as both POV lanes in and out of the terminal. All the lanes will have security gates; however, the entrance will still be manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The project also includes rerouting the existing 6 inch water main under Spencer Street to a new location around building 408 to Carolina Avenue. Conduit for possible future security upgrades (i.e. cameras, proximity card readers, etc.) will be placed as well.
